Find the right Henrietta meeting point

Tamarind Falls lies inland near Henrietta, in the south-western interior of Mauritius. Tamarin on the coast and Tamarind Falls are different destinations for travel planning. Use the operator’s exact pin instead of directing a driver only to Tamarin.

The village, a viewpoint and your guide’s meeting place may be separate locations. Save the address, pin, time and contact before leaving your accommodation. Confirm parking if you are driving yourself.

Arrange the return as well

Ask whether transport is included and where collection is offered. If travelling independently, agree the pickup point and an appropriate return window. Journey time changes with your starting point and traffic, so check it for the actual day rather than relying on one island-wide estimate.

Avoid assuming you will find a taxi immediately at the end of the walk. Arrange the return in advance and keep the driver’s contact available.

Make space in the day

Allow for introductions, a briefing, equipment where needed and the walk out. Keep the rest of the day flexible. A tight lunch reservation or an airport transfer can turn a relaxed stop into a deadline.

Bring the packing list, check the inland forecast and contact the operator if conditions are uncertain. Confirm what happens if the route changes or the departure is cancelled.

A final check the day before

Check meeting instructions, participant requirements and what is included. Tell the operator about children, swimming confidence and any relevant limitations. Save essential information on your phone so a weak connection does not leave you without your meeting details.

Getting your bearings

Tamarind Falls, Tamarin Falls, Sept Cascades and 7 Cascades refer to the same waterfall area.
